Lost Property – directors meeting

In a couple of weeks, we will be at the Little Angel‘s studios, having been given a few days of R&D to develop Lost Property as part of their Incubate programme.

Yesterday, Lost Property Director Peyvand and Theatre Mensch Artistic Director Ashleigh, met up for a coffee and a chat about the direction development would take.

Character seems key in this piece, and it was identified that in order to find the characters, we really needed to play with objects that would embody the characters. As well as the obvious main character of the backpack, what item would represent the owner, what would represent her post Hampstead cousins?

We also realised that in order to effectively play with all these object characters, we would need some extra hands. We realised we would need some additional puppetry performers to help us play and develop the piece.

If you are interested in getting involved – please do get in touch via our contact page.

So all-in-all a very productive meeting with lots to get to work on. We’re looking forward to getting up on our feet and playing Lost Property. Many thanks the Little Angel for supporting Theatre Mensch by providing the R&D space.
